Obituary
The death of Mrs. Geo. Keck, last Sunday night at midnight, after a lingering, painful illness of more than four weeks, is one of the saddest occurrences in this vicinity, for the whole year.
In the very prime of life, at the age of 38, with a family of seven children, who need a mother's care, the youngest of them only five weeks old, and the oldest but 13 years, with a devoted husband and happy home life, her untimely death seems especially unfortunate.
Flora Yost was her maiden name and her early home was Jefferson county, Penn., where she was born in 1876. She came west with her family at an early age and was married to G.S. Keck, March 2, 1901, who remains with her family to mourn her loss.
The funeral occurred at house 3 miles northeast of town, on Tuesday at 11 a.m. and the interment at Del Norte Cemetery, with Rev. L.J. Grantham officiating. Her father and three brothers were present besides a large circle of other mourning relatives and friends.
