The memorial service for Kenneth Dale Johnson, 74, of Drummond, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 15, 2009, at Community Bible Church, Lahoma, with Bill Smith officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Del Norte Cemetery , Drummond. Cremation arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory.
He was born to Harvey Clay and Pearl (Magee) Johnson on Dec. 7, 1934, in Vici, Okla., and went home to be with his Lord on Friday, July 10, 2009.
Kenneth grew up in Mutual, Okla., graduating from Richmond High School in 1952. In 1954, he married Billie Gooch. He served in the U.S. Air Force from November 1953 to January 1961.
On Oct. 2, 1980, he married Kathryn Williams. They made their home in Drummond. Kenneth worked for Vance AFB, retiring in 2000. He was a member of Community Bible Church.
He is survived by his wife, Kathryn, of the home; three sons, Michael Johnson and wife Sandra of North Enid, Scott Johnson and wife Lisa of Enid and Chuck Johnson of Enid; daughter, Vickey Hiebert and husband Terry of Ringwood.; stepson, Johnny Williams of Enid; 10 grandchildren, Brandy, Chelsey, Jake, Mitch, Tara, Ben, Shanee, Amber, Andrea and Shelbi; five great-grandchildren, Chris, Hannah, J.T., Paitlyn and Kyndal; two brothers, Carl Johnson of Mutual, and Allen Johnson of Cabot, Ark.; and two sisters, Rosalee Vessel of Kaw and Roberta Gregory of Enid.
Kenneth was preceded in death by a brother Carol and granddaughter Lindsey.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Greenbrier Skilled Nursing Unit or OMRF – cancer division.
