Obituary
It is not often that Drummond has to mourn the loss of two of its old residents in one week.
D.D. Doty, who has lived here with his family for the past 16 years, coming from Cedar County, Iowa, and ho has been very low with paralysis for the past weeks, quietly passed away, Monday night, at 11:30 at his home, four miles west of town. His death was not unexpected. He was 58 years, 4 months and 2 days old and had been confined to the house and practically helpless for several years.
Before that he was one of our most progressive farmers and unusually skillful mechanic.
He leaves a wife and two grown daughters, Misses Wilma and Zoe to mourn his loss. He was an indulgent husband and kind father.
His funeral occurred at his home, Wednesday P.M. at 2 o'clock, Rev. Virgil Brown officiating. The interment was in Del Norte cemetery. His family have the sincere sympathy of all in this hour of their deep affliction.
