Graveside service for Miss Lulu S. Allen, 96, who died Saturday in Highland Park Manor Nursing Home, will be at 10 AM Monday in Del Norte Cemetery, south of Drummond. The Rev. Harold A. Honnold will officiate, with the service under the direction of Henninger – Allen Funeral Home.
The casket will not be open at the Cemetery.
She was born August 19, 1894, in Kansas to Samuel T. And Mary Barbour Allen. She came with her parents to Oklahoma and was in the first graduating class at Drummond high school. She attended Enid Business College and worked at the Bank of Drummond. She retired in 1970 after 52 years.
She was a member of Drummond United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by four sisters.
Surviving are four nieces, Letha McDowell, Pauline Poore and Ruth Wortham, all of Hodgenville, Kentucky, and Lulu Mae Cowan of Canton; and two nephews, Ellis Cowan of Canton and Jay Chestnut of Enid.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Drummond United Methodist Church.
