The funeral for Olin Snyder, 84, of Perry, will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Brown-Dugger Funeral Home Chapel, Perry. Burial will be 4 p.m. in Covington Cemetery, Covington. Family visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
He was born March 13, 1921, in Douglas to Dosey and Bertha Atterbery Snyder and died Monday, Sept. 12, 2005, at Perkins.
He graduated from Douglas High School and was a World War II veteran, serving in the Navy from 1943 to 1945.
He married Ruby Kelley June 15, 1945, in Enid. She died Dec. 29, 1976.
He was a highway inspector for Oklahoma Department of Transportation, retiring in 1983.
Surviving are two daughters, Cynthia Holbrook of Perkins and Patricia Spence of Cleveland, Texas; one brother, Orin Snyder of Stillwater; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.
