OBITUARY
Jett Corbin Smith, 7-years-old of Lucien, Okla., ran into the arms of Jesus on Friday, Dec. 21, 2012. Jett was born April 29, 2005, in Stillwater, Okla., to Christe and Joe Smith Jr. Jett was a student in the 2nd grade class at Covington-Douglas Schools. Jett participated in all little league sports. He attended the OSU Basketball Camp, where he won the “Hot Shot Award.” Jett was the pitcher on the championship T-ball team. He was the safety on the Covington-Douglas Pee-Wee football team. He participated in the basketball program at Perry YMCA, where he averaged 20 points a game. The highlight of the game for Jett was to shoot the “buzzer-beater.”

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, at Harvey Theilen Memorial Gymnasium in Covington, Okla. Rev. Tommy Donaldson will officiate. Interment will be in Covington Cemetery. Service is under the direction of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home, Perry, Okla. Memorial Contributions can be made to Covington-Douglas Elementary School in care of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home, 1010 North 7th Street, Perry, OK 73077.

Jett is survived by his parents, Christe and Joe Smith Jr., and his brothers, Cole and Houston, all of Lucien, Okla.; maternal grandparents, Cindy and John Jones of Covington, Okla.; paternal grandparents Susan and Joe Smith Sr. of Covington, Okla.; maternal great-grandparent, Barbara Holt of Garber, Okla.; paternal great-grandparents, Trudy and Lloyd Gragert of Douglas, Okla.; aunts and uncles, Jeni and Matt Wright of Prague, Okla., Machelle and Kevin Smith of Covington, Okla., and Jeremy Jones of Phoenix, Ariz.; cousins, Cade and Caya Wright of Prague, Okla., Gabe, Gracyn and Gibson Smith, all of Covington, Okla.; and numerous geat-aunts, uncles and cousins.

Waiting to greet Jett in Heaven are his maternal great-grandparents, Doris and Houston Jones; maternal great-grandfather, Paul Holt; and paternal great-grandparents, Mavis and Eldon Smith.
