Covington Cemetery


The funeral services for Patricia C. Phillips, 74 year old Covington resident, will be today, Sunday, January 30, 2011 at 4 p.m. in the Covington First Baptist Church. The Reverend Jeff Jackson to officiate. Burial will follow in Covington Cemetery under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.
Pat was born December 2, 1936, in Ault, Colorado, to Mike and Edna (Green) Decker and passed to her Heavenly Home on Friday, January 28, 2011.
On December 24, 1952, she was united in marriage to Thomas Edward Phillips. She went to LPN school at Autry Technology in Enid and graduated in 1972. Pat was employed at Bass Hospital for one and a half years and then moved to Enid Memorial Hospital. She worked there from 1974 until its closing in 1996. She was employee of the year in 1994. Shen then transferred back to Bass and worked there until her retirement in 2000. She was loved by all of her patients and respected by her doctors and co-workers.
She is survived by her four sons, Tommy (Rusty) Phillips of Billings Fairchild Center, Bill Phillips and wife Kristi, Michael and Kenneth Phillips, all of Covington, OK., seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; also three sisters, Earlene Boyce and husband Chet, Beverly Bigby and husband Tom, and Hazel Daylor and husband Larry; two brothers, Bill Decker and wife Jan and Raymond Decker and wife Patty. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom; parents, and her stepfather, Oscar Maple.
She was preceded in death by two sons, one daughter, her husband Oscar, and her parents.
