A memorial service for Billie Marie Peters is 10 a.m. Saturday, September 3, 2016, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Covington.
Billie Peters was born June 4, 1920, in Drumright, to Harvey and Pearl Bryant, and passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2016, in Pearland, Texas. She graduated from Covington High School in 1937, and attended Enid Business College. She married Charley Peters in 1939, in Perry. The couple made their home on a farm four miles north of Covington, where they continued to live for their entire married life of 63 years. After Charley's death in 2002, Billie remained on the farm until 2009, when she moved to Pearland, Texas, to be near her youngest daughter.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Harvey and Pearl Bryant; a sister, Mildred Denney; and a brother, Harvey Bryant.
Billie is survived by her four children: Dixie and Bob Bradshaw, of Spokane, Wash.; Dr. David and Sherri Peters, of La Mirada, Calif.; Mike and Jane Peters, of Baton Rouge, La; Kathy and James Johnson, of Pearland, Texas.
She is also survived by nine grandchildren: Russ Bradshaw, of Spokane Wash.; Becky Eismann, of Kalispell, Mont.; Haley Molinar, of La Mirada, Calif.; Bryant Peters, of South Jordan, Utah; Justin Peters, of East Bale, Calif.; Charley Peters, of Baton Rouge, La.; Kevin Peters, of Baton Rouge, La.; John Johnson, of Houston, Texas; and Jake Johnson, of Alvin Texas; and nineteen great-grandchildren.
She will be greatly missed.
