Services Wednesday for Covington resident at First Baptist
Funeral services for Mrs. Corintha Miller, 84, were held at the First Baptist Church Wednesday at 2:30 PM.
Mrs. Miller was born July 27, 1873 in Olympus, Missouri. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac and Mary Groom. She passed away in her home in Covington, Oklahoma July 28, 1957.
Mrs. Miller came to Oklahoma, to a farm near Covington one year after the opening of the Cherokee Strip. In 1942 she left the farm and moved to Covington.
She was a member of the first Baptist Church and of the Order of the Eastern Star.
She married Mr. Joseph Miller in 1890. To this union were born four children, three boys and one girl. Ed, who preceded her in death. Three survivors include two sons, John of Oklahoma City, Elmer of Covington, Mrs. Nora Adams, Parsons, Kansas, six grandchildren and three great – grandchildren. Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her husband in 1943.
