Services for Linda Rae Casteel, 75 of Hennessey will be held at the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Covington, Saturday, April 24 at 10am, with the Rev. Tom Donaldson officiating. Burial will follow at the Covington cemetery under the direction of Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home.
Linda was born in Enid, OK to Everett and Myrtle (Decker) Triem and went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 20, 2021.
She earned her talent of making people beautiful from the Enid Beauty College, graduating as a member of the first ever class in 1963.
After college she began her career working in Marshall, Enid, OKC and then on to Hennessey where she finally retired after 51 years of doing what she knew best, “hair. “
In 1966 she married Earl Jay Casteel of Marshall and they had two daughters, Traci Hamlett of Marshall, and Shelli Sulyma (Nick) of Clermont, FL.
Linda was also blessed with seven grandsons, Hunter Carl of Dover, Weston Carl and Blake Hamlett of Marshall, Tyler Hamlett of Burns Flat, OK, Kendall Six of TX, Harrison and Patrick Sulyma of FL., also her special little dog Jaci.
She was preceded in death by her parents, ex-husband Earl Jay and son in law Jerry Hamlett.
As we continue to celebrate your life in all that we do, we are so grateful we had a parent like you!
Memorials may be made to FURever Friends of Enid with the funeral home serving as custodian of the funds.
