Funeral services, celebrating and honoring the life of Delmar “LeeRoy” Bowling, 93, will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, October 2, 2021 in Bethlehem Baptist Church with Pastor Tommy Donaldson officiating. Committal prayers and interment will follow in Covington Cemetery under the kind guidance of the Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service. Visitation with the family will be held on Friday, October 1, 2021 from 6:30 to 7:30 pm at Stittsworth's.
LeeRoy was born on January 11, 1928 to Perry and Alice Bowling at Hayward, Oklahoma and passed away on September 25, 2021. He was raised and educated at Hayward, graduating from Hayward High School with the class of 1946. He was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Enid. He was a hard worker and worked numerous jobs, including, oilfield and Sante Fe Rail Road. LeeRoy loved gardening and enjoyed working on his rental properties. While working in the oilfield, he met and married Barbara Seeman in Kimball, Nebraska on July 18, 1958. LeeRoy was blessed with five sons and one daughter.
He was preceded in passing by his parents and eight siblings.
LeeRoy is survived by his wife, Barbara of the residence; children, Craig Bowling, Ted Bowling and wife Nancy, Susan Sprouse and husband Chad, Russell Bowling and wife Karen, Roger Bowling and wife Carrie, Raymond Bowling and wife Kerri; brother, Lloyd Bowling, thirteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews.
