Miss Minnie Knauft, 76, 1425 S. Adams, died in a local nursing home early Tuesday. Her funeral will be Friday at 2 PM in Henninger – Allen Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Carlton Kjergaard and the Rev. Kenneth Wade officiating. Burial will be in Collett Cemetery at Fairmont.
Miss Knauft was born in Hennessey August 27, 1900. She grew up in the Fairmont community, living with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Blocker. Following their death, she moved to Sapulpa. The past two years she had made her home with Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Layman, Fairmont, and Mrs. John Ives, Enid. Miss Knauft was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
Survivors include one brother, Rev. Charles F. Knauft, St. Louis, Missouri; four half – sisters, Mrs. John Ives, Enid, Mrs. Otis Ives, Follett, Texas, Mrs. Leonard Weible, Lincoln, Kansas, and Mrs. R. I. Layman, Fairmont; three half – brothers, Albert Staub, Enid, Harry Staub, Pekin, Illinois, and Fred Staub, Gallipolis, West Virginia, and a number of cousins in the Enid area.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Knauft.
