A mass of Christian burial was held at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Enid, OK., Monday, March 6, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. for Marguerite Messall Nicholson, who went to be with her Lord on March 1, 2006.
Marguerite was born July 29, 1912 in Enid, Oklahoma to Arthur B. and Mary Walsh Messall. She spent her childhood in Western Oklahoma and attended OSU where she met her husband, C. B. Nicholson. They lived in Eastern Oklahoma, spending much of their married life in the Henryetta area.
Marguerite was a retired school teacher.
She leaves to mourn her passing; sister-in-law Sarah Margaret Messall and Florine Messall, both of Barlesville, several nieces and nephew, her guardian Kenneth and Glenda Morgan of Stilwell, Darlene Shipley of Morris, former caretaker Barbara McDermott, Helen Melton and Maxine Adams of the Henryetta, OK., area her attorney and friend Donnie Henson of Okmulgee, Stilwell Nursing Home, Trinity Hospice Group, and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three brothers and co-guardian, Jack Shipley.
Services were conducted by Henninger-Allen Funeral Home of Enid.
Mrs. Nicholson was laid to rest in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Enid, OK.
