A Mass of Christian Burial for Laddie Joseph Maly, age 83, will be at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, July 14, 2016, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, with Rev. Rajesh Mankena officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, with arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.
Laddie was born to Emil and Mary (Houska) Maly on August 27, 1932 in Bison, Oklahoma and passed away Monday, July 11, 2016, in Enid.
Laddie grew up in Enid and graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1951. He married Barbara Kurtz on February 16, 1955, and they made their home in Enid. Laddie served in the Army during the Korean War. He retired from Pillsbury after working there thirty years. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus #1044, 4th Knights of Columbus Assembly 853, Men’s Club, and active in the Northwest District Junior Livestock shows. Laddie was a farmer and an avid hunter.
Laddie is survived by his wife Barbara, of the home; two children, Elizabeth Alvey (James) of Enid, Jason Maly of Enid; two grandchildren, Alexandria and Nicholas; one great-grandchild Jackson; and brother Francis “Frank” Maly of Enid.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Barbara Ann Maly, 83, Enid, is 10 a.m. Thursday, June 15, 2017, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, with the Rev. Rajesh Mankena officiating. Burial follows in Calvary Cemetery, with arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory. Barbara was born to Albert and Della (Volz) Kurtz, on July 25, 1933, in Geary, and passed away on Sunday, June 11, 2017, in Enid.
Barbara grew in Geary and graduated from Memorial High School in Enid. She married Laddie Joseph Maly on Feb. 16, 1955, and they made their home in Enid. Barbara was a full time mom and housewife. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier and St. Gregory Catholic Church, and Knights of Columbus Auxiliary. Barbara was a longtime member of the Catholic Daughters and St. Francis Altar Society. She was active in several local bridge clubs.
She is survived by her children Elizabeth Alvey and husband James Jr., and Jason Maly, all of Enid; two grandchildren Alexandria Benbrook (Cory Nicholson) and Nicholas Maly; and one great-grandson, Jackson Nicholson.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother Joe, and a sister Dorothy.
