Vincent Eugene Kokojan
April 13, 1930 - December 3, 2020
Mass of Christian Burial for Vincent Kokojan, 90, will be Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2020, at 11 a.m. in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with Rev Mark Mason, celebrant. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.
Vincent was born April 13, 1930, in Enid to Joseph and Agnes (Johnson) Kokojan and died Dec. 3, 2020, in Enid at the age of 90.
He grew up on the family farm and graduated from Waukomis High School, attended Oklahoma State College for a year and served a two-year stint in the U.S. Navy. On April 30, 1960, he married Donna Lisle and they raised three children on the family farm in Waukomis. Vincent was a life-long member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, where he was a member of the Knights of Columbus #1044, 4th Degree Knights of Columbus Assembly 0854 and a member of the church choir. Vincent was an avid reader and enjoyed fishing, flying and enjoyed spending time with his family. One of his greatest accomplishments was obtaining his private pilot license. Donna passed away on Dec. 18, 1997. On May 26, 2001, he married Marion Redick at St. Francis. They made their home in Enid.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna; parents and three brothers and two nephews.
Vincent is survived by his wife, Marion; children, Cathy (Chris) Merrifield, Marilyn Gregg, Mark (Maqui) Kokojan, Daniel (Vickie) Redick, David (Allison) Redick, Donna (David) Kilcher, Mary Beth Adams, Michael (Angie) Redick; 18 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
