Recent Deaths
Mass of Christian burial for Miss Pearl E. Cannady, 88, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. The Rev. Don Wolf will officiate. Burial will be in the Calvary Catholic Cemetey under the direction of Henninger-Allen Funeral Home.
Miss Cannady died Tuesday at her home in Enid. She was born Aug. 17, 1896, in Neodesha, Kan. to William M. and Matilda Smith Cannady. The family moved to Blackwell in 1900 and then to Enid in 1903. She graduated in Music from St. Joseph Academy, and was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, the Alter Society and St. Theresa's Study Club. She also played the organ for the school choir at the church for 25 years.
She is survived by one sister, Sister Ermelinda Cannady of the home.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
