Mrs. Florence Bridgewater, 63, 815 W. York, was born at Spring Lake, Tennessee, and was reared in Abilene, Texas. She died Saturday night in a local hospital.
The former Florence Shiflett, she married Roy Bridgewater May 20, 1934, at Rockwell, Texas, and he survives. The couple lived in Dallas, Texas, in the early 1940s, coming to Enid in 1962.
Mrs. Bridgewater was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.
In addition to her husband of the home, she is survived by two brothers, Chester H. Shiflett, Sun City, Texas, and Don D. Shiflett, Dallas; a sister, Mrs. Ruth J. Smith, Enid; a nephew and three nieces.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM Tuesday in the First Presbyterian Church. Dr. Leslie G Everitt Jr. will officiate and burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery, Enid under the direction of the Brown Funeral Home.
The body will lie in state at the funeral home until 9:30 AM Tuesday and the casket will remain closed after the service.
