The mass of Christian burial for Mary Kroeger, 94 year-old Enid resident will be Saturday, October 26, 2013 at 11:30AM in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. The Rev. Joseph Irwin will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.
Mary was born February 3, 1919 in Victoria, Kansas to Jacob and Anna Bollig and died Wednesday, October 23, 2013 in Greenbrier nursing home. She attended schools in Ellis, Kansas . On August 19, 1941 she married Charles "Bud" Kroeger in Ellis where the couple made their home on a farm.
The couple moved to Enid in 1966. She was a long-time member of St. Francis where she was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary and also a member of the Oklahoma Polka Club. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, and crochet.
She is survived by her son Marlyn Kroeger and wife Alice of Enid, three grandchildren; Andrew Poplin, Matthew Kroeger, and Angela Crosley and husband Jarett all of Enid. One great-grandson, Noah, two step-great-grandchildren, Damyn and Andrew. Two sisters; Armella and Loretta and two brothers, Norbert and Julius as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles in 2000 and two brothers, Bill and Rudy.
