Breckinridge Cemetery


Breckinridge – The funeral for James Helberg, 73, will be 10 AM Saturday in Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Breckinridge. Art McCormick will officiate. Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery northwest of Breckinridge. Arrangements are by Sisson Funeral Home.

He was born March 20, 1926, in Breckinridge to Edwin and Alma Nehring Helberg and died Tuesday, August 17, 1999, at Integris Bass Baptist Health Center in Enid.

He attended school at Garber, parochial school for eight years at Breckinridge and Phillips University at Enid. He served his country in the Army during World War II and worked for many years in restaurant management. He married Marilyn Hayes in 1954. He was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Breckinridge.

Surviving are his wife, Marilyn of the home; three daughters, Pamela René Beige of Oklahoma City, Sharon Haggard of Enid and Wendy Sue Tharp of Oklahoma City; two sons, Mark Helberg of Moore and Jimmy Helberg of Enid; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorials may be made to Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Breckinridge.
