L.H. arrived in this world February 4, 1943, in Enid, Oklahoma, to parents Henry and Lorene (Long) Diel and passed away suddenly December 17, 2021, at his home in Enid.
Being a farmer and rancher always came naturally to L.H. After graduating from Garber High School, he worked several years at F.W. Zaloudek Implements in Kremlin, all the while working the ground year-round. He married Jeanne Torode and together they had one son, Mike. Later, they divorced.
L.H. was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Breckenridge. A true workaholic, he was dedicated to his ranch and farming, which he did his entire life.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Mary Ann Smith.
L.H. is survived by his son, Mike Diel and wife, Sondra; granddaughters, Kayla Diel-Young and husband, Lane, and Kassidy Diel; great-grandchild, Grant Young; siblings, Peggy Jensen and husband, Pete, Mark Diel and wife, Judi, Shirley Blodgett and husband, Mark, Sharon Long and Dan Buckley; life-long friend, Sandy Magee; as well as numerous nieces and nephews; and his beloved cat, Misty.
Please consider donating to Immanuel Lutheran Church in L.H.'s memory. Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home will act as custodian of the funds.
