A Mass of Christian Burial honoring the life of Charles J. Milacek 83, of Waukomis, will be held 10:00 A.M. Thursday June 7, 2018 in the St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Bison. Burial will follow in the Bison Cemetery. A family reception visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. Wednesday June 6, 2018 in the Brown-Cummings Funeral Home. Military honors will be conducted by The United States Army.
Charles was born March 27, 1935, at home in Waukomis to C.V. and Anna Milacek and passed from this life May 30, 2018 at his home in Waukomis. Charles graduated from St. Gregory's High School in 1953, and St. Gregory's Jr. College in 1955, with an Associate of Arts degree. He served two years in the United States Army at Fort Gordon, Georgia and then in Germany working in communications. He worked with the Seismograph Service Corp of Tulsa in Brazil; South America and Petrobras Oil. He worked for Serve Air at Vance Air Force Base and also farmed in Waukomis and Enid. He Married Flor Marina Albarracin on March 10, 1989, in Bogota, Columbia.
Charles is survived by his wife, of 29 years, Flor Marina Milacek, of the home, three children, one son, David Milacek, and two daughters Teresa and Amber; and grandchildren; four sisters, Teresa Smith, Bea Schovanec, Alice (Dennis)Diederich, Agnes (Duane) Schue; one brother, George (Louise) Milacek; three sisters-in-law, Ivon Milacek, Linda Milacek and Anna Beatriz Albarracin, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Alfred and Robert Milacek.
Memorials may be given in his name to Alcoholics Anonymous, with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
