January 15, 1941 - October 3, 2020

Mass of Christian Burial for Robert John "Bob" Fuksa, 79 will be at 10:00 AM Friday October 9, 2020 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Bison where he was Baptized and went to church his entire life. Mass will be officiated by Rev. Ed Menasco. Burial will follow at Bison Cemetery under the direction of Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home, Hennessey.

Bob was born January 15, 1941 to Joseph A. and Emma Sedlak Fuksa in a farmhouse that his grandfather and father built southwest of Bison. He went to see his Heavenly Father Saturday October 3, 2020.

He attended elementary and junior high school at St. Joseph's Catholic School in Bison. He then attended Hennessey High School where he graduated in 1959. While in high school he met the love of his life Helen Goodpasture. They quickly knew they were meant for each other and were married on August 17, 1959.

They lived on the family farm and Bob soon went to work at Sears Roebuck Company in Enid. The day did not end there because while beginning a family, Bob and Helen started a wheat, cattle, and dairy farm together. Bob was always a motivated hard-working person that had goals and worked to improve life for his wife and family.

He was always pleasant and had nice things to say about his friends and neighbors. He enjoyed going to Czech Polkas and would have time to dance with his beautiful wife Helen. Bob loved to fish and hunt and would take an occasional day to watch football due to his love of sports. He took pride in his work and enjoyed farming to the utmost detail.

Bob enjoyed traveling and seeing the world later in life. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren teaching them things on the farm, riding on the tractor, four-wheeler, or attending their football, basketball and softball games.

Bob is survived by his wife Helen of the home, and four wonderful children Greg Fuksa and wife Nancy, Kevin Fuksa and wife Tracy, Chris Fuksa and wife Janice, Keith Fuksa and wife Kim; grandchildren Braidon and wife Caitlin and their children McKenna, Madelyn, Blake, Kadence; Brandi Weimer and husband John, their children Carter and Avery; Dillon Fuksa, Ashley and Cody Quimby, Alicia and Mason Sparks; and special neighbor grandchildren Cash and Rylen Wilson; his sister-in-law Dorothy Fuksa, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph A. and Emma Sedlak Fuksa, one brother William "Bill" Fuksa, one sister Patsy Semrad and her husband Willy.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his name to the American Cancer Society or the Bison Cemetery with the funeral home serving as custodian of the fund.
