Alice Marie Semrad
October 1, 1929 - October 13, 2023

Alice Marie Semrad was born on October 1, 1929 in Bison, Oklahoma to Anton J. Semrad and Agnes Parizek Semrad. She passed away on October 13, 2023.

Alice graduated from St. Joseph High School in Enid in 1947, then graduated from the University of St. Mary's in Leavenworth, Kansas in 1951. She spent her 38 year career at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, eventually as the Director of Medical Technology. Retiring to Enid, Oklahoma in 1996, she taught the Literacy program- English as a Second Language - for 25 years.

Alice is survived by sister Margaret Handley of Denver, Colorado; brother Lawrence Semrad and wife Elizabeth of Fort Worth, Texas; brother Gene Semrad and wife Carolyn of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; sister-in law Lilian Semrad of Olathe, Kansas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Recitation of the Rosary at 9:00 am on Friday, October 20, 2023 in St. Frances Xavier Catholic Church, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am. Arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory.

In lieu of flowers - donations can be made to St. Joseph Catholic School in Enid. Special thanks to the Grace Care caregivers for their dedicated and loving attention to Alice.
