Fruit Merchant Dead

Peter Pappas, the proprietor of the fruit store on the corner of Independence and Randolph, died today at 1 o'clock.

It was impossible to ascertain the cause of his death.

The body is at the Simmons morgue.

No arrangements for the funeral will be made until his brother arrives.

Funeral of Peter Pappas

Peter Pappas, the Greek fruit merchant who died yesterday, was buried today at 1 o'clock.

The body will be taken directly from the Simmons morgue to the cemetery. Reverend Deckman, who has charge of Saint Havener's here during the absence of Father Deprieter, officiated.

Peter Pappas, a Greek, who has been ill at the University hospital for some time, with typhoid fever, died Friday night.

He was taken to the hospital a week before and had been in a critical condition since that time.

Pappas conducted a fruit store at the northwest corner of Independence avenue and Randolph.
