Bethany Cemetery


The funeral service for Mary Ellen Babb, 75, of Fairmont, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 10, 2013, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home. Pastor Timothy Dorsch will officiate. Burial will be in Bethany Cemetery under direction of Anderson-Burris. Visitation with family will be 5:30-6:30 Monday evening at the funeral home. Mary Ellen was born to Gilbert and Gela (Quinton) Browning November 9, 1937, in Holdenville, OK, and passed away Friday, September 6, 2013, in Enid. She grew up in Holdenville and married Billy Joe Babb February 6, 1956 in Ada. They made their home in Wewoka, where she was a homemaker. They moved to Enid in 1974 and then Fairmont in 1996.

She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids, watching baseball, and traveling with Billy.

She is survived by daughters, Billie Burwell and husband Michael of Fairmont, Ronda Peery and husband Marvin of Justin, Texas; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Evelyn Carpenter of California and Wanda Twomey of Texas. Mary was preceded in death by her husband Billy in 2007 and her parents.
