Thursday, September 22nd, 1932 - Thursday, July 6th, 2023
A Celebration of Life service for Stanley D. Dotson age 90 of the Pioneer Community will be 10:00 am Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at the Pioneer School Cafeteria with Rev. Tommy Donaldson officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethany Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
Stanley was born September 22, 1932 in Enid to Jesse P. and Ruby J. (Woodson) Dotson and passed away July 6, 2023 in St. Mary's Regional Hospital. He attended and graduated from Pioneer Schools. He married the love of his life Oletta Morris on December 18, 1953 in the Pleasant Valley Christian Church and celebrated 68 wonderful years and she passed away February 21, 2022.
He was active in 4 H Group and sporting activities while in school and was "The Catcher" for the 1948 Baseball Team. Stanley and Oletta started a Cattle Transporting company and operated for over 50 years. He continued to farm and ranch all his life. In the late 50's he operated a custom harvesting business for several years. Stanley and Bob started the Titan Trailer Sales in 1994 and helped operate for the past 27 years. He received the top dealership in sales for Titan West. Stanley served on the Pioneer School Board and the Brangus Breeders Association. He was a lifetime and active member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. He was very active in the sporting activities of his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Stanley is survived by his children; Wesley and wife Connie Dotson, Avis and husband Bill Ward, and Bob and wife Keri Dotson, grandchildren; Tucker Dotson, Beau Ward, Justin Hester, Evan Ward, Lezlie Meibergen, Chelsi Dotson, Cheyenne Dotson, and Cooper Ward, great grandchildren; Drake Dotson, Ali Ward, Paisley Ward, Bodi Ward, Bailey Dotson, Kyser Hester, Emmy Dotson, Lewy Meibergen, Olivia Ward and Piper Ward, Ellie Meibergen, Knox Hester, Declan Dotson, and Weston Meibergen.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Robert and Dick Dotson and grandson Cody Dotson.
Memorials may be made to Bethlehem Baptist Church-Cody Dotson Pioneer High School Scholarship Fund with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory serving as custodians of the funds.
