A Celebration of Life service for Oletta Mae Dotson age 86 of Enid will be 2:00 pm Saturday, February 26. 2022 at the Bethlehem Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Donaldson officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethany Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5:00-6:00 pm at the funeral home.
Oletta was born September 1, 1935 in Enid to John E. and Charlotte E. (Murphy) Morris and passed away February 21,2022 in the Greenbrier Skilled Nursing Center. She attended and graduated from Pioneer Schools. She married Stanley D. Dotson on December 18, 1953 in the Pleasant Valley Christian Church and celebrated 68 wonderful years. Oletta was a church organist for 65 years at Pleasant Valley Christian Union Church and Bethlehem Baptist Church. She worked at Champlin Oil offices as a secretary and later for Norton Stuart Car Dealership. She was a member of Sigma Phi Gamma Sorority.
Oletta is survived by her husband Stanley of the home; children; Wesley and wife Connie Dotson, Avis and husband Bill Ward, and Bob and wife Keri Dotson, grandchildren; Tucker Dotson, Beau Ward, Cody Dotson, Justin Hester, Evan Ward, Lezlie Meibergen, Cheyene Dotson, and Cooper Ward, great grandchildren; Drake Dotson, Ali Ward, Paisley Ward, Bodi Ward, Bailey Dotson, Kyser Hester, Emmy Dotson, Lewy Meibergen, Ellie Meibergen, Knox Hester, Declan Dotson, and Weston Meibergen, sister Pat Walters and other family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother J. T. Morris.
Memorials may be made to Bethlehem Baptist Church with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodians of the funds.
