A Memorial service for James Andrew Bales will be held 11:00am, Saturday, November 12, 2022 at Garland Road Baptist Church with Pastor Billy Benson officiating. Cremation arrangements and services are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
James was born March 14, 1950 in McAlester, Oklahoma to James Almont and Mary Katherine (Deela) Bales, and passed away November 8, 2022. He grew up on a ranch in Bengal, Oklahoma. His early days were filled with dogs, horses, mules, and cousins. James loved to fish and hunt, but his greatest love was spending time with his family. He married Mary Ward in June 21, 1969 in Wilburton, Oklahoma. He moved to Enid in 1975, and started working for Koch Industries as a Truck Driver, District Foreman and eventually Operations Technician. In 1991, it sold to Oneok, and James was there for a total of 41 years.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Mary Bales; daughters, Amy Bales of Colorado Springs, CO, Andrea McNamara-Miller of Enid and Amanda Bales of Champaign, IL; 1 grandson, Donncha McNamara; brother, John Bales and his wife Cindy of Edmond.
James is preceded in death by his parents.
Memorials may be made to Garland Road Baptist Church with Ladusau-Evans serving as custodian of the funds. Condolences may be made at ladusauevans.com.
