Katie Wassenmiller was born in Shcherbakovka, Russia on Feb 28, 1882 to Joh. Georg and Marguerite (Lang) Laubhan. She passed away Jun 24, 1963 in Woodward, OK.

She married Joh. Fredrick Wassenmiller in 1906. To this union were born 4 children: Ottilie, Ophelia, Alexander John; and Alvana.

In 1911 they immigrated from Russia to America and settled in Shattuck, OK.

She was preceded by her husband and daughter Ottilie who was born in Russia and died during immigration. Also by brothers Alex, John, and Georg. She is survived by three children: Ophelia Nobles of Shattuck, OK; Alexander John of Woodward, OK; and Alvana McDaniel of Kerrville, TN; 6 grandchildren; one brother Fred of Shattuck and one sister, Mrs. Mollie Schultz of Shattuck; and a many other relatives and friends.

Interment was in the Shattuck cemetery.
