The funeral for Allen Schoenhals, 88, will be 10 a.m. Monday in Shattuck First Baptist Church. Gene Land and Floyd Thiessen, pastors, will officiate. Burial will be in Shattuck Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements are by Mason Funeral Home.

He was born Oct. 29, 1915, at home to Henry H. and Mollie (Klein) Schoenhals and died Thursday, Feb. 26, 2004, at Shattuck Nursing Center.

He attended Star Valley Country School and graduated from Shattuck High School in 1933. On July 28, 1940, he married Esther Meier. In 1981, after 26 years of service, he retired from Shattuck National Bank. He was a lifetime resident of Shattuck and was a member of St. Paul Congregational Church.

Surviving are his wife, Esther of the home; one sister, Ruby Myers of New Martinsville, WV; five children, Doug and Jim, both of Shattuck, Don of Midwest City, Linda White of Broken Arrow, and Rick of Weatherford; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

He was preceded in death by seven brothers and one sister.

Memorials may be made to Newman Memorial Hospital Foundation, 905 S. Main Street, Shattuck, OK 73858-990.
