Frances Louise (Cordell) Rankin
November 11, 1949 ~ January 12, 2020

Louise Rankin, 70 year old Gage resident, died Sunday, January 12, 2020 at her home. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 20 in the Shattuck Cemetery. Burial will follow with the Billings Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Frances Louise (Cordell) Rankin was born on November 11, 1949 in the Newman Memorial Hospital in Shattuck, Oklahoma to Jesse William and Edna Ruth (Ross) Cordell. Louise grew up in Shattuck and graduated from Shattuck High School in 1968. She was united in marriage to Charles James Rankin on November 21, 1975 in Wellington, Texas. They made their first home in Alva before moving back to Shattuck in 1978. In 1968 she was a Bookkeeper for the City of Shattuck, the housekeeper in 1975 and worked at the Shattuck Hospital form 1980 until 1985. She later worked at the Woodward Hospital from 1988 until 2009 before her retirement.

Louise loved Shattuck football and her and her sister were named #1 fans in 2006. She loved her grandchildren, going to ball games, and trips to Oklahoma City. She will be greatly missed but never forgotten. She will always be cherished by numerous family and friends.

She is survived by her children, Jack Rankin; Donna McCarty and husband Sean; one sister Ruth Molloy; brothers-in-law, Bob Hodgson; Pete and Dave; other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jim Rankin and brother-in-law, Andy Molloy.
