Billy Eugene Meier, son of Herman and Dean (Hall) Meier, was born Sept. 1, 1929, and died following an accident, Oct 4, 1948, at the age of 19 years, 1 month and 3 days.

Billy was well liked and very popular among the citizens of the community. He attended Shattuck schools, graduating with the class of 1948. During high school he was an outstanding football player, and always displayed sportsmanship that made him so well liked. He was a member of the Christian Church of Shattuck.

He leaves to mourn his passing, his mother Mrs. Gus Olsen of Texhoma, his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. M.A. Hall of Blackwell and Mrs. Fred Meier of Shattuck. His father preceded him in death.

Funeral services were held on Wed. of last week at the Christian Church with Rev. C.C. Meadows officiating. Burial in the Shattuck Memorial Cemetery aka I.O.O.F Lodge #303 Cemetery, Sec. 28 Twp 21 R25, located on the south side of Shattuck, Ok along Hwy 283 with Mason Mortuary in charge.
