Ronald Alfred (Bud) Holt, son of Sam L. & Sara (Barnes) Holt was born on September 7, 1930 at Gage, OK. He lived his childhood at the family farm southeast of Gage, then at the age of 17 years, he joined the United States Navy to serve his country. On September 17, 1954 he was married to Evelyn Brace of Shattuck. To this union five children were born.
Bud passed from this earthly life on the evening of February 6, 2016 at the Newman Memorial Hospital at the age of 85 years, 4 months, and 6 days. He leaves to survive his passing, his wife, Evelyn of the home, daughters Rhonda Crowson and husband Randy of Gage, OK., Sandy Hloucha and husband Terry of Nampa, ID., sons Ronald Dale Holt of Skellytown, TX., and Tim L. Holt and wife Deanna of Deepwater, MO. Bud leaves behind nine grandchildren: Scott Gossett and wife Cheri, Chris Gossett, Gage, OK., Lori Gossett, Wright, WY., Randall Crowson, Gage, OK., Jeremy Hloucha and wife Desi, Kristin Hloucha of Gillette, WY., Sandra Crowder and husband Colten, Columbia, MO., Trenton and Riley Holt, Deepwater, MO. Great grandchildren, Sierra and Ryan Gossett, Tyler and Mercedes Gossett, Gage, OK., and Hana Hloucha, Gillette, WY., as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
During his life Bud was engaged in several occupations to include truck driving, farming and raising cattle, water well drilling and tractor mechanics. He also managed and operated the Gage Airport for three years at which time he gave flight instruction and also flew pipe line inspections. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and attended whenever his health permitted.
Bud was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Sara Holt, older brother Jack L. Holt and sister-in-law Betty, sister Radean Hamaker and brother-in-law Harold, sister Reta Fessler, brother-in-law Steve Melzer and sister-in-law Louisa, sister-in-law Verbena Brace, son Clyde A. Holt, granddaughter Sara Gossett and great granddaughter Kimberly Gossett. Also his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ted and Mollie Brace.
At his request no formal funeral services will be conducted. Memorial donations can be made to Christ Lutheran Church at Shattuck, OK.
