Dorothy Anna Carter, 64 year old resident of Shattuck, OK, passed from this life on July 6, 2020. Dorothy was born April 21, 1956 to Charles Leon Prentice and Darlene Edith Mingus in Omaha, Nebraska. She lived in Nebraska 47 years and in 2003 Dorothy moved to Oklahoma. She was a truck driver and drove cross country for 30 plus years. Dorothy loved spending time with family. She loved fishing, watching the cattle in the pastures, and just life in general.
She is preceded in death by her father Charles Prentice, mother Darleen McAlevey, step father Dwayne McAlevey, sister Esther Applegarth, daughter Judy Haynes, grandson Dalton Fessler and great niece Gretchen Furrow.
She is survived by her daughter Lynn Rascon and husband Humberto of Shattuck, OK; two sons Jimmy Ridenour of Kearney, NE and Lyle Timmens and wife Misty of Minatare, NE; eleven grandchildren David Rascon, Abel Rascon, Brandon Rascon, Phoebe Fessler, Sable Fessler, Keaton Ridenour, Aaron Timmens, Brittany Timmens, Trevor Timmens, Matika Timmens, and Kali Timmens; four brothers William Prentice of Grand Island, NE, Bob Prentice and wife Donna of Oconto, NE, Charles Eacker and wife Linda of Hersey, NE, and Bobby McAlevey of York, NE; three sisters Connie Applegarth and husband Clyde of Cozad, NE, Charlotte Mizner of Shattuck, OK, Nellie Furrow and husband Gene of Brady, NE; brother-in-law Duke Applegarth of Broken Bow, NE; ten great grandchildren, two aunts, one uncle, many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, extended family and a host of adopted grandchildren and friends.
