This is a small cemetery located on County land. To reach this site, one must travel on neighboring private lands and over pasture ground.
The original land owners were Dan and Eliza J. Mouser. On June 17th, 1914, Mr. and Mrs. Mouser deeded the cemetery to the trustees or their successors of the Sixteen Mile Cemetery, of Greenswood Township, Ellis County, Oklahoma. The County Commissioners of Ellis County are now the successors of this cemetery.
Two of the Mouser children are buried here with the oldest death dates recorded in Ellis County.
Many unknown graves are in this cemetery.
If you have family buried in the Mouser Cemetery or have obits (with newspapers permission or an obit that you can write) or tombstone photos or individual portraits or can write a short bio and would like to add your information to this website, contact the area coordinator for more information.
