ROSE VIVIAN MILLER

February 18, 1916 - June 26, 2017

Rose Vivian (Kracht) Miller, 101, of Harmon, Oklahoma passed away June 26, 2017 in the Vici Nursing Home. Rose was born February 18, 1916 in DeSmet, South Dakota to Harry August Kracht and Ellen Izetta (Howland) Kracht.

Rose was raised in DeSmet and moved to Harlingen, TX where she graduated from high school in 1934. Rose married James Leonard Call on June 1, 1935. To this union three children were born, Arlyne Beverly (Call) Keller, James Richard Call and Thomas Harry Call. On August 26, 1949 she married R.C Miller and to this union two more boys were welcomed, John Paul Miller, Sr. and Mark Gerald Miller. Rose and R.C. moved from Raymondville, TX to make their home at the ranch south of Harmon, Oklahoma in 1959. She lived on the ranch until entering the Vici Nursing Home in 2011.

Rose enjoyed sewing, reading and gardening. Doing crossword puzzles and watching soap opera’s passed the time. She was a member of the Cowbells, a local organization, sharing recipes and enjoying friends and neighbors. She was a member of the Harmon Nazarene Church and was mother of the year in 2001.

Rose was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 58 years R.C. Miller, brothers Elton Kracht and Orval Kracht, sister-in-laws Shirley Kracht and Hazel Kracht, son-in-law Robert Keller, Sr., daughter-in-law Jan Call, grandchildren Little Joe Miller, Mary Ellen Miller, Jerry Keller, and Judd Miller and great-grandson Chris Henry.

She is survived by her children, Beverly Keller, Arnett, OK; James Call, Raymondville, TX; Tom and Judy Call, Biloxi, MS; John and Juanita Miller, Arnett, OK; Mark and Barbara Miller, Gladewater, TX. Rose’s legacy also includes grandchildren, Robert Jr. & Penny Keller, Arlyne & Randy Henry, Larry & Janice Keller, Curtis Keller, Lynn & Randy Ross, Richard & Lily Call, Kay & Rey Tamaz, Randy Call, Luke Call, Christine & Mark Griffith, Joy & Frank Auberle, John Jr. & Amy Miller, Jatonna & Todd Mason, Juddena & Jeff Lanham, Roger & Joan Miller, January & John Timberlake, and Mark & Leslie Miller; sister-in-law Rachel Kracht; 45 great-grandkids and 17 great-great grandkids, other family and friends.
