Darlene Jewel Lynes, 84-year-old resident of Vici, OK, passed from this life on May 8, 2018 in Vici, OK. Darlene was born March 5, 1934 to Mark W. and Ollie E. (Allgire) Beers in Shattuck, OK. She grew up in Harmon, OK and attended Arnett public schools until 1947. The family moved to Gravette, AR and she graduated high school in Gravette with the class of 1953.
On June 1, 1953, Darlene married Charles Lynes. To this union, four children were born Jeannice, Ron, Jerry, and Lisa. After marriage she lived in Gravette, AR, Higgins, TX, Booker, TX, Arnett, OK and Vici, OK. Darlene was a housewife, farmer and a rancher. She also worked at the cafeteria at Fort Supply, the cafeteria in Vici, and the Vici nursing home. Darlene was a member of the Nazarene Church.
Darlene is preceded in death by her parents Mark and Ollie Beers; son Ron Lynes; daughter Jeannice Lynes; brother Matthew Beers and his wife Della.
She is survived by her son Jerry Lynes and wife Pamela of Eagle Rock, MO; daughter Lisa Sellers of Woodward, OK; two grandsons Preston Gay of Oklahoma City, OK and Justin Lynes; three granddaughters Christina Sellers of Richland, MO, Katie Stegall of Eagle Rock, MO, and Heather Impeartice; three great grandchildren Aria Stenson, Paige Gay and Emily Stegall; and a host of friends.
