Angela Marie (Hunter) Linnell, 52 year old resident of Oklahoma City, OK, passed from this life on January 15, 2021. Angela was born November 22, 1968 in Chillicothe, MO. At the age of 2, Angie and her brother Mike joined the family of Gene and Gloridene Hunter, and she grew up in the Harmon Vici area. She attended school in Arnett until 6th grade, Vici schools from 7th to high school and Yukon Schools where she graduated with the class of 1987.
On November 30, 2013, Angela married James Linnell in Oklahoma City and she welcomed three children into her life Cody, Tommy, and Kaitlyn. Angela worked as a secretarial clerk in claims. At the age of 12 she was baptized at the Vici Church of the Nazarene. Angela had a beautiful voice and loved singing. She sang in the church choir and performed many solos for special events at the church. She has received many awards for her singing. Angela enjoyed baking and cooking. She loved baking breads, rolls and her donuts were amazing. Angela was a very caring person and loved to help others. At a young age she chose to give her son Erik up for adoption. She always looked forward and counted down the days till she could see him again. She reconnected with Erik when he turned 18 and enjoyed the time she got to spend with him. Also, when Angela married James, she was so happy to have additional family. She loved to wear the hat of Granny and she proudly wore it. When her granddaughter Marie was born, she came to live with Angela and James, and Marie was the source of pride for Granny Angie. Angela was such a kind and compassionate person she will be missed by all her friends and family.
She is preceded in death by her parents Gene and Gloridene Hunter, nephew Chris Hunter, brothers Deon Hunter and Vince Scrimshir.
She is survived by her husband of the home James Linnell; mother-in-law Kay
Linnell; son Erik Love; stepchildren Cody, Tommy, and Kaitlyn; brother Mike
Hunter and Bonnie of Oklahoma City, brother Leon Hunter and wife Marilyn of
Yukon, OK, sister Carolyn Reed and husband Barry of Woodward, OK; ten
grandchildren, aunts, uncles and many nieces, nephews, extended family and a
host of friends. Memorials may be made to:
