Van Harvey, 76 year old Oklahoma City resident, passed away March 6, 2025 in Oklahoma City. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, June 6, 2025 at the Greenwood Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.
Van Rex Harvey was born on September 13, 1948 in Shattuck, Oklahoma to Maxie Newton and Virginia Jesse (Harbour) Harvey. Van graduated from Gage High School in Gage, Oklahoma. He attended and graduated from Oklahoma State University and was a member of the Flying Aggies winning many awards. Van loved purchasing and also building old vintage cars. He was a member of a car club and participated in parades and car meets. Van enjoyed discussing Cessnas that they owned with his big brother, Teddy.
He is survived by his sister, Esther Fields and many nieces and nephews.
He also leaves lots of love, laughter, and he never met a stranger. Van always looked forward to his class reunions to get together with classmates.
