Barbara June (Hunnicutt) Reeves

April 18, 1939 ~ December 13, 2017

Barbara June (Hunnicutt) Reeves, daughter of Elmer and Essie (Webb) Hunnicutt, was born April 18, 1939 at Allen, OK. She passed from this life on December 13, 2017 at her home in Higgins, TX, at the age of 78. Her childhood years were spent at Allen, OK.

On October 18, 1957 she was united in marriage to Richard Gillum Reeves at Sapulpa, OK. Two daughters, Patty and Teresa blessed this union. The family lived in Guymon, OK and Tulsa, OK before moving to Higgins, TX.

Barbara owned and operated a restaurant in Higgins and worked at the local grocery store. She was a member of the Docilis club, the Eastern Star and the Church of Christ where she was baptized and attended services at Arnett and Higgins.

Her favorite pastime was sharing time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a care giver and a good, loving mother. Cooking, quilting and embroidery were her special interests.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Richard. Cherishing her memory are her daughters, Patty Perkins of Higgins, TX. and Teresa Duncan and her husband, Mark of Lawton, OK. Five grandchildren and six great grandchildren, her sister, Patricia Parnell of Arlington, TX., other relatives and a host of friends.
