Dennis Clark "Buck" Boughan
December 15, 1926 ~ June 08, 2020

Dennis (Buck) Clark Boughan was born December 15, 1926 in Altus, OK to John and Mamie (Clark) Boughan. He passed from this life on June 8, 2020 at his home in Higgins, TX. He attended school at Bishop until the 11th grade.

When Buck was 9 years old, he rode in the rodeo, and followed it for 5 years. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, attaining the rank of Seaman 2nd Class.

He was united in marriage to Thelma Fitch on June 5, 1954 at Clayton, NM. They recently celebrated their sixty sixth anniversary. To this union was born three children, Sherry Ratliff with husband Charlie of Woodward, OK; Terry Boughan with wife, Norma of Higgins, TX, and Larry Boughan with wife Mary of Moore, OK.

Buck worked in the oil field with Suoco Oil Corp. He also worked as a rancher at both Red Rock Ranch and Sansing Ranch. Buck was a member of the Higgins Church of the Nazarene.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mamie; brothers, Pee Wee and Leroy; sisters, Rowena and Rama; daughter-in-law, Melanie; and granddaughter, Christie.

Survivors include Thelma of the home; children, Sherry, Terry, and Larry, three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson.

Memorials may be made to the Higgins Church of the Nazarene in care of Shaw Funeral Home, P.O. Box 276, Vici, OK 73859.
