Robert Dean (Bob) Weis was born May 31, 1940 in Woodward, Oklahoma to Edward and Opal (Love) Weis. Bob graduated from Russell High School in Russell, Kansas, where he was heavily involved in sports. He attended Fort Hayes State University where he received his Bachelors Degree and had extended education at Tulsa University.

He was united in marriage to Judith Ann Vandebur on August 7, 1960 in Russell, Kansas. They were blessed with two children, David and Aimee. They made their first home in Hayes, Kansas. Bob lived and worked in Tulsa, Oklahoma; Houston, Texas; Minneapolis, Minnesota; and Denver, Colorado. Bob went into oil and gas accounting and worked his way up to Assistant Controller at Apache Corporation. He also spent time with the Federal Savings and Loan and worked as a private Accountant.

Bob enjoyed visiting with his family. Fishing was also something he got a lot of joy from. He loved genealogy research and was able to reconnect with many family members through this passion. He was a member of the American Historical Society of Germans from Russia (AHSGR) and was past president of the group. He also did some fund raising and accounting for them. Bob enjoyed organizing things and getting people together. Later in life he helped arrange one of his high school reunions and made some surprising and positive connections while putting that together. Bob was a member of the Baptist church.

He is survived by his son, David M. Weis and wife Missy; his daughter, Aimee J. Regan and husband Sean; four grandchildren: Aimee Weis, William Weis and wife Hollie, Christina Bowen and husband Brandon and Jacob Regan; and many other relatives and friends.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Glenda and brothers, Everett and Delmer.
