Ralph Rabe
October 4, 1947 - July 28, 2021

Ralph Rabe, 73 year old Fargo resident, passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2021 in Shattuck. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, July 31, 2021 at the Fargo United Methodist Church with Reverend Rusty Rhoads and Reverend Jeff Ralston officiating. Burial will follow in the Fargo Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.

Ralph N. Rabe was born on October 4, 1947 at a castle in Germany to Wilber and Anita Susanne (Killian) Rabe. Ralph grew up in Woodward and graduated with the class of 1965. He was united in marriage to Teresa Rhoads on April 15, 1966 in Cordell, Oklahoma. They made their first home in Woodward and in 1969 they moved to Spearman, Texas before moving to Enid. In 1985 they moved back to Fargo and have lived there since that time. Ralph worked for Marlatts Auto Supply in Woodward and Enid and was a pipe fitter. Ralph bought Wilbers Garage from his father Wilber in 1984 and ran the garage until 2000 when Teresa got sick. He later went to work for Woodward County District 3.

He was a member of the Fargo Fire Department and the Elks Lodge. Ralph served as Fire Chief of the Fargo Fire Department for many years before his retirement. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and being with his wife Teresa.

He is survived by one son, Ronnie Rabe and wife Lisa of Fargo; one daughter, Christie File and husband Clay of Fargo; grandchildren: Cole File and fiance Chelsea Coffey of Fargo, Cami File and Austin Herod of Medford; great-grandchild, Kensington Herod of Medford; other relatives and many friends.

Ralph was preceded in death by the love of his life Teresa, his parents, Wilber and Anita Rabe, and brother Larry Rabe.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Fargo Fire Association with the funeral home accepting the contributions.
