September 30, 1940 ~ February 9, 2025

Larry Borth, 84 year old Woodward resident, passed away Sunday, February 9, 2025 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 14, 2025 at the Fargo/Gage Event Center in Fargo with Reverend Jeff Ralston officiating. Burial will follow in the Fargo Cemetery.

Larry Dean Borth was born on September 30, 1940 in Shattuck, Oklahoma to Herman and Dolores (Morehart) Borth. Larry was raised on the family dairy farm in Fargo. He graduated from Fargo High School in 1958. He was united in marriage to Brenda Weidner on July 24, 1960 in Woodward, Oklahoma. They made their home in Woodward and Fargo and were blessed with three children: Rayln, Rodney, and Rhonda. Larry received his Electrician's license in Wichita, Kansas and worked as an Electrician for Dressen. In his early years he worked at Borth Grocery Store in Fargo and Woodward Livestock. He has been involved with farming ranching since 1966.

He enjoyed bowling, fishing, hunting and spending time with his family but his passion was with his cattle and sheep. Larry was a member of 4-H and FFA. He really enjoyed working with the kids during livestock shows and meat judging contests.

He is survived by the love of his life of 64 years, Brenda Borth of the home; two sons: Rayln Borth and wife April, Rodney Borth; one daughter Rhonda Borth; grandchildren: Seth Mendoza and wife Kaitynn, Heath Mendoza and wife Brittany, Hope Barraco and husband Chris, Jordan Borth and wife Chandra, Shayln Ralston and husband Bart, Kaad Edwards and spouse Skylar, Kerry Beth Buinting, James Borth, Deanna Borth, Ashtyn Borth, Kaden Borth, and Hayden Borth; numerous great-grandchildren; two sisters, Sue Cosgrave and husband Roy, Rella Latta and husband Johnny; brother in law, Doug Weidner and wife Kay; one uncle, Bill Borth and wife Julane; special friends: Kendal and Karsen Stephens, Sherri Carson, Jim Schneider, David Smith, Bryan Huffman, Lynn Allen, Kim Weder, Jayme Spillman, and many other special friends.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Delores Borth, in-laws, Paul and Martha Weidner, grandson Taylor Borth and granddaughter Keela Edwards.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Fargo FFA with the funeral home accepting the contributions.
