Geraldine “Jerry” Joyce Young, daughter of Cleta Mae (Goble) Ralls, was born September 20, 1939 in Woodward, OK and passed from this life on January 13, 2021 in Santa Maria, CA at the age of 81. Jerry grew up in Woodward, OK where she attended grade school. She also lived in Roswell New Mexico and Paris France. She attended high school at the Paris American High School in Paris, France and returned to Oklahoma where she graduated from Arnett High in 1957.
On December 24, 1957, Jerry married Dale J. Young at the First Baptist Church in Arnett. To this union, three daughters were born Vicki Gail, Charlotte Kay, and Michelle Lynn. Until Dale’s retirement from the United States Air Force, Jerry travelled the world with Dale supporting him and her family as a homemaker. They lived from Arizona to Germany, Nevada, Guam, Illinois, California, England, Washington, and Las Vegas. After Dales retirement from the air force in 1987, they relocated to California where she spent the remainder of her life. Jerry was baptized on December 15, 1957 at the Arnett First Baptist Church. Jerry enjoyed traveling, reading, gardening, attending theater, and spreading love amongst her friends and family.
Jerry is preceded in death by her husband Dale Jay Young, mother Cleta Mae Ralls, daughter Vicki Gail Young, half sister Joan Gay Croft, and grandparents Eva Elizabeth and Raymond Fred Goble.
She is survived by her daughters Michelle Young and husband Robert Wilson of Seattle, WA and Charlotte Easley and husband Rob of Sumter, SC; one grandchild Megan Easley-Walsh and husband Stephen of Ireland; extended family and a host of friends.
