Beverly Wayne White, the son of C.W. White Jr. and Grace (Webb) White, was born May 3, 1946 in Richmond, Maddison Country, KY., and passed from this life on June 13, 2018 in Yukon, OK at the age of 72. He was raised in Kentucky until C.W. and Grace moved the family to Oklahoma, where he graduated from Arnett High School in 1966. Soon after graduation Wayne married the love of his life, Lynda (Tyler) White on November 25, 1966. Their marriage was blessed with three sons, David, Bryan, and Greg.
Wayne joined the United States Army January 1967 and was stationed at Fort Gordon, Georgia where he received a National Defense Service Medal and was a Decorated Marksman(rifle). After the Army, he held many jobs and was a jack of all trades. He was a barber, a farmer, and retired from truck driving at Texaco. He was always happy to help someone out and never asked anything in return. Wayne loved helping the kids in the community with whatever they were needing at that moment. Whether it was borrowing tools, or a boat so they could go fishing, or helping with FFA/Boy Scout projects. He was a great father figure to his sons along with several other young men who needed a mentor at that time of their lives.
Wayne was Baptized as a child and was a Deacon of the First Christian Church in Yukon, Oklahoma. He was also a member of the Jaycees, and the American Legion.
Wayne never met a stranger and could start a conversation with anyone, anywhere. He loved to fish and enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandchildren whenever he could.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Lynda, his parents C. W and Grace White, sister Barbara Rice, and three brothers Orus, Donald, and Clinton White. Left to cherish his memory are his three children, David and Chrystal White of Canyon, TX; Bryan and Rhonda White of Yukon, OK; Greg and Deana White of OKC, OK; Eight grandchildren, Mason, Madison, Camron, Shelby, Amanda, Heather, Kaitlyn, and Caleb White; and one great grandchild Sonny Shrader. His sisters Charlotte & Mike Conley of Oil Spring, KY; Jacqueline & Darrel Cornelius of Pratt, KS; Tressa Bullard & Charlie McDaniel of Horseshoe Bend, AR. His brother Roger & Ann White of Augusta, KY. Numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Memorials may be made to the American Legion of El Reno in care of Shaw Funeral Home, P.O. Box 276, Vici, OK 73859.
