William "Bill" Dale Taylor

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at 10:00 am in the First Christian Church of Arnett, OK. Burial will follow at DeBolt Cemetery.

Viewing Hours: Friday, 9 am to 7 pm at funeral home in Arnett.

William "Bill" Dale Taylor was born October 2, 1929 in Leedey, Oklahoma, to Elias and Minnie Hart Taylor. He passed away at his home in Arnett, Ok on September 2, 2015, at the age of 85 years and 11 months.

Bill attended school at Leedey, Ok where he graduated in 1947. At approximately the age of 18 he was baptized into Christ at the Leedey church of Christ. After graduation he joined the Army and was honorably discharged.

Bill married Yulonda Bullard on January 9, 1954 in Woodward, Ok. To this union three sons were born: Wesley Dale, Kevin Lee, Roland Ray. Bill and Yulonda lived in Oklahoma City while he attended Barber school returning to Arnett where he used his skills as a Barber. Bill worked as a farmer and a dairyman and was involved in many community activities. He was a member of the American Legion, Mayor of Arnett, member of the Jaycees, and the Arnett Round Up Club. Bill was an awesome pool player. He enjoyed anything related to horse racing, and dancing. Bill also enjoyed playing with the grandkids and watching them play sports.

He is preceded in death by his parents Elias and Minnie Taylor; son, Kevin Lee Taylor; grandson, Cole Taylor; brothers, Avery Taylor and Buddy Taylor; sisters, Evelyn Bently and Alene Partain.

William “Bill” is survived by his wife Yulonda of the home in Arnett,Ok; Sons Wesley Dale Taylor and wife Carolyn of Arnett, Ok and Roland Ray Taylor and Stephanie Findley of Shattuck, Ok; Brother Buel Taylor, Kansas; sisters Dorothy Thornton, New Mexico; Wanda Hamilton, Weatherford, Ok; 8 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; other family and many, many friends.
