William (Bill) D. Suthers, 71 year-old resident of Arnett, OK passed from this life on January 11, 2017. Bill was born December 28, 1945 to Bud and Fae (Shields) Suthers in Arnett, OK. He grew up in Arnett where he attended Arnett Public Schools, graduating with the Class of 1964.

In his youth, he loved to ride bulls. He proudly served in the Air Force during Vietnam for three and a half years before receiving his honorable discharge.

Bill and Dianne Suthers were blessed with 2 boys, Avery and Nathan. Around this time, Bill was the owner of the Arnett Boot and Saddle Shop as well as Arnett Feed and Grain. He served as President of the Arnett Fair Association, where he was involved for many years.

On December 19, 1984 Bill and Carolyn (Peacock) were united in marriage, bringing four more kids to the family, upping the total to 6 children. From that time forward, Bill and Carolyn supported the family on the family farm.

In his spare time, Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing, and hanging out with friends. In his later years, he also loved to jump in the car and travel. Bill and Carolyn were able to see some of the places he always wanted to see like Alaska, Hawaii, the Rocky Mountains, and the Grand Canyon.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents, Bud and Fae Suthers; and brothers Mac and Milton Suthers.

He is survived by his wife Carolyn Suthers; children Avery Suthers and wife Karen of Joplin, MO, Nathan Suthers and wife Dena of Edmond, OK, Brenda Gross and husband Mike of Arnett, OK, Billy Hosier and wife April of Arnett, OK, Betty Hosier of Arnett, OK, Leslie Hosier and wife Jessica of Woodward, OK; brother Buddy Suthers and wife Lynnie of Sayre, OK; sister Sherilyn Shill of Wellton, AZ; nine grandchildren, and two great grandchildren, as well as many other nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
