Eugene Dibbs Hosier

April 23, 1910 ~ November 09, 1979

Mooreland – Funeral services for Eugene Debbs Hosier, 69, who died Friday in a Mooreland hospital, will be at 2 PM Monday in the United Methodist Church at Arnett with the Rev. Don Hull, pastor, and the Rev. Jack Winkler, pastor of the Mooreland First United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in the DeBolt Cemetery in Arnett under the direction of the Billings – Knittel Funeral Home.

Hosier was born April 23, 1910 in Peek. On January 28, 1935 he married Elva Howard. She died in June, 1979.

He spent most of his life in the Peek – Arnett – Gage area before moving to Woodward in 1967. He was a cat operator for Ellis County retiring in 1972.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Gage.

Survivors include two sons, Norman L. Of Norman and Edwin E., Liberal, Kansas; one sister, Mrs. Mary Barlett, Pampa, Texas; and five grandchildren.
