Robert Wayne Dearing, 84-year-old resident of Arnett, OK, passed on April 19, 2023. Robert was born September 11, 1938 to Harry Irwin and Geraldine (Bradshaw) Dearing in Cheyenne, OK. He attended Cheyenne Public Schools and graduated with the class of 1956. Robert then attended Oklahoma State University where he graduated with the class of 1960 with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science.
On January 16, 1960, Robert married Eula Mae Morris in Tulsa, OK and to this union two sons were born Tom and Larry. They briefly lived in Stillwater after their marriage and then moved south of Arnett. In 2002 they moved into the town of Arnett. Robert worked as a farmer/rancher. He was a diehard OSU fan and loved watching his Cowboys. He enjoyed quail hunting, farming, ranching and all sports, especially when the sports involved his grandchildren.
Robert served on the Arnett School Board from 1978 to 1982, the AGR-Fraternity at OSU, and the ASCS Board. He was a member of the Methodist Church and was baptized in August 1948. Robert attended at the Arnett United Methodist Church. He also had the privilege of serving as a deacon at the Baptist Church for many years. Robert will be greatly missed by many.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents Harry and Geraldine Dearing and his mother and father-in-law Harvey and Eula Morris.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Eula Dearing; brother Jim Dearing and wife Frances of Cheyenne; son, Tom Dearing and wife Meredithe of Arnett; son, Larry Dearing and Jamie Landers of Arnett; grandchildren, Rick Richmond and wife Tara of South Carolina; Johnny Ray Richmond and wife Romy of Knoxville, TN; Riley Dearing and wife Lindsey of Lubbock, TX; Eli Dearing and wife Sarah of San Antonio; Haley Gonce and husband Landon of Midland, TX; Tanner Dearing and wife Paige of Arnett, OK; Caitlin Christenson and husband Allan of Edmond, OK; Molly Landers of East Lansing, MI; and Shannon Hogue and family of Phoenix, AZ. Great grandchildren: Trystan and Braydon Richmond; Aubriana, Jasper, Aislinn, Annabelle and Logan Richmond; Crew Blair, Camp, and Cale Dearing; Ava and Asher Dearing; Bentley and Ellis Gonce; and Tiegan Dearing. Nephew, Jeff Dearing of Roanoke, TX; niece; Pam Dearing, of Bonham, TX.
